Dr. Sahiba Kukreja, a highly accomplished academic leader, is the Distinguished Professor and Head of the Department of Biochemistry at SGRD Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (SGRDIMSAR), Amritsar. She also serves as Dean of Academics for undergraduate programs, Coordinator of the Medical Education Unit, and Laboratory Director, reflecting her extensive expertise across educational, clinical, and administrative domains.
Dr. Kukreja’s academic foundation includes an MBBS and MD in Biochemistry, further enriched by diplomas in Clinical Research and Hospital Management. Her expertise in healthcare quality is reinforced through certifications as an Internal Auditor for ISO 15189 and an Internal Counselor for NABH standards, awarded by the Quality Council of India.
A passionate educator and FAIMER Fellow since 2016, Dr. Kukreja’s contributions to medical education and healthcare quality have been transformative. She participated in the prestigious ACME program in 2015 and has served as a thesis advisor to numerous PhD and postgraduate students. Her scholarly work includes several research publications in renowned national and international peer-reviewed journals, and she is a co-author of two influential Biochemistry textbooks.
