Understanding the fundamental principles of Physiology is essential for building a strong foundation in medical education. This webinar series is designed to provide faculty and educators with a comprehensive overview of key physiological concepts, ensuring clarity before advancing to complex clinical applications.
Each session will focus on core physiological mechanisms, covering topics such as homeostasis, membrane transport, action potentials, and the autonomic nervous system. The sessions will emphasize conceptual understanding, fostering deeper learning and application in medical education.
Meet the Faculty: Dr. Vaishali Khatri
Dr. Vaishali Khatri is a Professor of Physiology at AUC School of Medicine’s UK Track Program. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of South Pacific, Fiji Islands, and a Master’s in Medical Physiology from B.J. Medical College, India. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, UK (FHEA) and a FAIMER Fellow in Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Practice.
With over 25 years of experience teaching physiology in diverse medical curricula—including system-based, problem-based, and team-based learning approaches—Dr. Khatri is committed to fostering critical thinking and deep engagement in her students. Her teaching philosophy integrates interactive pedagogical tools that encourage active learning, knowledge integration, and application in medical practice. She has been recognized for her excellence in teaching, receiving the Excellence in Teaching Award eight times.
